Although this issue relates more to pillar 1 of the CSU (provision of effective, quality health care and services), it is of particular importance in Madagascar, given the ongoing process of drafting a law on financial protection in health care for all users (pillar 2 of the CSU).
The challenge is to simplify the national framework, and avoid any fragmentation or duplication of tasks. So, while it is urgent to carry out assessments of Madagascar’s emergency and trauma care system as soon as possible in order to define priority national measures in this area, it is equally fundamental to mobilize and secure the necessary financial resources, in particular through appropriate communication campaigns and advocacy activities, and through the promotion of multi-sectoral networks and partnerships in the field of emergency care.
