Capitalization study on improving healthcare affordability - P4H Network

Capitalization study on improving healthcare affordability

In terms of health risk coverage, Mali has opted for three mechanisms: AMO, RAMED and mutual health insurance for the vast majority of the population.
This led AFD, after preliminary studies, to initiate joint multi-stakeholder meetings.

The project has three components:

  • Component 1, which focuses on improving the quality of healthcare provision (infrastructure, equipment, staff capacity-building, etc.);
  • Component 2, which will focus on organizing demand through the development of health mutuals;
  • The third is institutional support aimed at building capacity at central and decentralized levels, with a number of themes of interest, including planning and supervision, support for reflection on Universal Health Coverage, and capitalization on innovative experiences tested under the program.
