Published in the International Journal of Health Policy and Management, this scoping review explores diverse frameworks for evaluating health financing systems.

This scoping review explores the landscape of health financing frameworks, aiming to understand their dimensions and applicability in assessing health financing systems. Through a comprehensive analysis of 21 identified frameworks, the study categorizes them based on their focus, revealing three main groups: general recommendations for health financing improvement, enhancement of health insurance schemes, and management of public health financing. Despite their diversity, these frameworks offer complementary perspectives and a holistic understanding of health financing systems.
