The Government of the Republic of Guinea and donors, including Gavi, the Global Fund and the World Bank, have agreed on the need to set up a Program Management and Coordination Support Unit (UAGCP) within the Ministry of Health (MOH). The aim is to improve financial management mechanisms and create synergies between the technical departments in charge of program implementation, through gradual capacity-building for these externally-funded programs. Accordingly, by decree NA/2019/1567/MS/SGG of April 30, 2019, a Program Management and Coordination Support Unit (UAGCP) was created within the Ministry of Health, under the direct authority of the Secretary General, who oversees it with the steering committee.
