The P4H Network and Australian National University (ANU) have organised a webinar series to promote knowledge sharing and dialogue on Social Health Protection (SHP) for Migrant Workers and Their Families. Here’s presenting the Executive Summary of the Webinar.
The last of the three-part series, held on June 28, 2023, was moderated by John Ataguba, Canada Research Chair in Health Economics at the University of Manitoba, and had speakers from Colombia, Lebanon, and Rwanda and participants from across the globe.
Through the webinar series, we aimed to promote knowledge sharing and dialogue on SHP for migrant communities. We will focus on sharing lessons learned from Asia and the Pacific with other countries, as well as between the region’s own countries. These are the objectives: (1) To outline the extent and focus of SHP for migrant workers and their families in host and sending countries. (2) To describe the challenges, gaps, and plans in SHP for migrant workers and their families. (3) To identify key topics and concerns to support regional and national stakeholders in developing and implementing SHP for migrant communities in the region.
If you are new to P4H, all Webinars in this series and others can be accessed on our YouTube Channel.
