The aim of this case study in Senegal is to identify promising approaches and strategies that have been or are being implemented in the country to ensure more equitable financial protection, particularly for underserved and socially excluded populations. The case study explores the context and political economy surrounding (particularly non-financial) barriers to extending financial protection, and focuses on practical experiences and lessons learned.
This study focuses on community participation and how community platforms, awareness-raising and health promotion messages were used to identify and reach poor and vulnerable beneficiaries.
