This paper focuses on the economic impact of COVID-19 on health financing in countries of the World Health Organization (WHO) South-East Asia Region. Although COVID-19 presents risks, it provides an opportunity to reset health financing systems in many countries of the region, especially for financing of primary health care (PHC), sustaining progress towards universal health coverage (UHC) and improving future pandemic preparedness.
