This guidance note follows on from the book Le financement de la santé en République gabonaise, which presents a comprehensive assessment of the country‘s health financing. This book examines the health financing situation following the introduction of a national health insurance program, in light of the government’s commitment to implement universal health coverage in the medium term. The book provides a diagnosis of the situation based on recent data from the Demographic and Health Survey, updated national health accounts, and a review of public spending in the health sector.
