Law No. 1152 is enacted to amend Law No. 475 on Comprehensive Health Services of the Plurinational State of Bolivia of December 2013.
This law allows for the expansion of the beneficiary population that is not covered by short-term social security to receive free health care. This means that users of the public health system no longer have to spend out of pocket to pay for health care, laboratory tests and medicines, as these are covered by public expenditure.
