The National Health Insurance System is created with the main purpose of providing equal, integral and humanized health benefits, aimed at the promotion, protection, recovery and rehabilitation of health.
It shall guarantee the beneficiaries of the Social Welfare Organizations to obtain the same type and level of benefits.
National Social Welfare Organizations, the Social Welfare Organizations of other jurisdictions and other entities adhering to the system are considered as insurance agents, which must adapt their health benefits to the rules included in this law, its regulations and the Social Welfare Organizations Law, as applicable.
