Law 475 provided for comprehensive health care and financial protection for Bolivian inhabitants who did not have health insurance from the social security system’s managing entities.
This law provides financial health protection to all inhabitants of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. who did not have health insurance from the social security system and who were within the following population groups: pregnant women from the beginning of pregnancy until 6 months after delivery, children under 5 years of age, women and men over 60 years of age, women of childbearing age with respect to sexual and reproductive health care, and people with disabilities.
