The Council of Ministers heard in its meeting of September 10, 2013 adopted the insitutionalization of a universal health insurance system (AMU) which includes on the one hand the compulsory health insurance scheme (AMO) and on the other hand the social health assistance program (PASS).
Djibouti’ s universal health insurance system covers the cost of services provided by approved providers to AMU beneficiaries. Based on the contributory principle, compulsory health insurance comprises three schemes:
1- The :
- Civil servants ;
- Salaried workers covered by the French Labor Code.
2- The self-employed workers’ scheme ;
3- The :
- Students ;
- Retirees.
