The Global Financing Facility (GFF)1 is a multi-stakeholder partnership that aims to intensify efforts and increase financial resources for maternal and child health in high-burden countries, with an ever-increasing emphasis on domestic financing2. At the same time, and in the interests of efficiency, the GFF is helping national authorities to channel these additional funds towards high-impact actions, and to better define their sectoral intervention priorities with the aim of achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030.
