The aim of the National Health Development Plan 2019-2022 is to contribute to the well-being of the Congolese population by 2022 within the framework of Universal Health Coverage and other targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The overall objective of the PNDS for the period 2019-2022 is to increase the coverage and use of quality healthcare services by the population, with equity and financial protection. The vision of this PNDS is that, by 2022, the Democratic Republic of Congo will have moved towards universal access to quality services and reduced the incidence of catastrophic household spending, enabling households to contribute to the nation’s economic development.
