According to the document, the National Health Policy defines“the set of options chosen by the Haitian State in the fullness of its sovereignty to improve the health situation of the population and adapt it to the country’s development requirements“.
Its provisions are based on the current (2012) level of health of the resident population (10.11 million), its determinants and the degree of development of the national health system.
