Equipping the country with a National Policy for Social Protection and Promotion (PNPPS) is an important and necessary step towards achieving a lasting reduction in poverty, reducing inequalities and promoting the autonomy of Haitians.
The National Social Protection and Promotion Policy (PNPPS) document is the culmination of a participatory and inclusive process that began in spring 2016 with the official launch of the Social Protection Sector Table (TSPS) based on the recommendations of the “social refoundation” pillar of Haiti’s Strategic Plan for Development (PSDH).
