The crisis in Haiti is having a profound impact on the daily lives of millions of people, with many indicators showing a worrying deterioration in key areas… In their latest outlook report for June to October 2024, the FAO and WFP have added Haiti to the list of countries/territories of “greatest concern due to escalating violence by armed groups […]. This category includes hotspots with famine or risk of famine, or with populations already in a disaster situation of displaced people between March and June 2024 […] or at risk of deteriorating to catastrophic conditions during the forecast period. These countries/territories require the most urgent attention.”
