Promoting Results and Outcomes through Policy and Economic Levers (PROPEL) Adapt is a cross-sectoral approach to strengthening the enabling environment in fragile contexts through policy, financing, government accountability and evidence-based advocacy.
Complex emergencies require cross-sectoral solutions involving stakeholders from across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus. PROPEL Adapt works at the HDP Nexus level, assessing the factors that facilitate successful transitions between meeting needs in a crisis situation and longer-term recovery and preparedness.
PROPEL Adapt’s mandate is to strengthen policy, advocacy, financing and governance in fragile environments and in the context of shocks and stress factors. These essential levers promote voluntary FP/RH and the integration of FP/RH with HIV/AIDS and MCH, as vital services during crises and essential to building long-term resilience.
