Qatar has launched its National Health Strategy 2024-2030 under the slogan “Health for All,” marking a significant step towards achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030. The launch, led by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, was attended by senior officials, including HE Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, who emphasized the country’s commitment to building a sustainable healthcare system for current and future generations.
The new strategy outlines bold objectives such as increasing life expectancy to 82.6 years, reducing mortality from noncommunicable diseases by 36%, and cutting infant mortality to 2 per 1,000 live births. It is designed to improve population health and well-being, achieve excellence in service delivery, and enhance health system efficiency and resilience. Dr. Saleh Ali Al Marri, Assistant Minister of Public Health for Health Affairs, highlighted that the strategy’s 15 specific outcomes are supported by comprehensive initiatives across primary, secondary, and community healthcare.
