The General Social Security Health System guarantees to all persons residing in Colombia, all health services and technologies for the promotion of health, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and palliation of the disease, with the exception of those explicitly excluded from financing with public resources allocated to health. In other words, health services previously authorized in the country by the competent authority are guaranteed.
Resolution 2292 updates and establishes the health services and technologies financed with resources from the Capitation Payment Unit, which must be guaranteed by the Health Promoting Entities and other entities obliged to compensate members of the General Social Security Health System.
