Tanzania endorses the goal of achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and is committed to attaining universal health coverage (UHC) by 2030. The achievement of UHC as well as other SDGs with an impact on health are central in this HSSP V. The HSSP V will therefore guide all state actors in the health sector in allocating financial, material and human resources for the health sector and inter-sectoral roles that have a health impact. It will also guide health sector development partners and other stakeholders including non-state actors as they support and complement Tanzania’s role to bring health and development to people and communities and leaving no one behind.
