This note outlines the importance of Social protection to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 crisis and highlights specific social protection responses relevant to the context of Viet Nam. It aims at assisting national constituents in their efforts to limit the impact of the crisis on Viet Nam’s population and world of work. It builds on a more comprehensive ILO Brief which offers policy considerations regarding the role of social protection in responding to the possible impacts of COVID-19 crisis1 and on the ILO regional brief documenting Social Protection
responses to the global health crisis.
