Help, which has worked for the success of this CSU policy during its 10-year presence in Burkina, is organizing a high-level panel on the theme of “Universal health coverage: from free healthcare to universal health insurance, issues and challenges”. The question seems familiar and even debated, but its relevance is topical in view of the progress made in Burkina, the dysfunctions observed, the questions raised about the ability of public decision-makers to ensure the system’s sustainability, and the mechanisms for getting people on board and responding to their needs.
Panel objectives:
The panel aims to contribute to the gradual construction in Burkina Faso of a solid, appropriate (meeting customers’ needs and expectations), effective and efficient CSU mechanism. The expected results are :
– Clarification of CSU’s policy in Burkina Faso,
– A reminder of the foundations and achievements of the AMU project
– A discussion about the CNAMU: its offer, its financing, its modus operandi, its articulation with free health care, its agenda, etc.
