Pierre Dimba, Minister of Health, speaking at the 77th World Health Assembly, declared that Côte d’Ivoire is committed to working towards an infrangible, efficient health system that serves the population without discrimination.
The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, speaking at the high-level forum on the successes and perfectives of African countries on innovations in universal health coverage and the mobilization of resources, explained that Côte d’Ivoire is firmly committed to achieving universal health coverage. As proof, the Government has taken concrete measures, such as the adoption ofthe Universal Health Coverage law in 2014, the qualitative and quantitative reinforcement of human resources in the health field, with a better distribution across the national territory.
Pierre Dimba recalled the major investments made in the construction and rehabilitation of health infrastructures, the digitization of the healthcare system, as well as reforms in the pharmaceutical and governance sectors. In sum, the Minister of Health highlighted the many achievements and innovations made by the Ivorian government in the health sector over the last few years.
