The phase of the generalization of the health insurance component of the Assurance pour le renforcement du capital humain (Arch) project in the commune of Cotonou has been officially launched.
The pilot phase of the health insurance component of the Arch project has been running for over a year in seven (07) pilot communes, impacting the one hundred and five thousand (105,000) people in the communes of Abomey-Calavi, Sô-Ava, Dassa-Zoumè, Glazoué, Djougou, Copargo, Ouaké) who have benefited from the health insurance pilot phase.
The generalization phase, which is now up and running, will benefit the poorest and most disadvantaged. They will receive free health care in public and church health facilities.
Project ARCH, with an overall cost of 313 billion CFA francs, consists of an integrated package of four services: health insurance, credit, training and retirement insurance. The whole package is designed to lift people out of poverty.
