The entity in charge of providing health insurance to public employees will start charging co-payments for medical consultations in the province of Buenos Aires.
Due to the need to make adjustments for inflation, the president of the public employees’ welfare fund (IOMA) stated that members will be charged a co-payment for medical consultations. This measure responds to the restriction imposed by the National Government to the provinces in the remittance of funds.
It is estimated that members would pay the equivalent of $1.5 and $4 US dollars as co-payment for consultations, an amount that will be adjusted for inflation throughout the year.
IOMA provides health services to all public employees, teachers, police officers, municipal agents and retirees of the Province of Buenos Aires.
