Bahrain’s Ministry of Health extends the same standards of integrated healthcare services in line with the COVID 19 response protocol to inmates at Reformation and Rehabilitation Centres.
The inmates have access to specialized medical personnel, mental health services, social care, and ongoing monitoring of chronic diseases in addition to supporting medical services that include a medical laboratory and physical therapy.
This is an affirmative step of the Bahrain government in ensuring universal health coverage to its citizens irrespective of their social group.
