Bangladesh borrows $940 M from external loan to finance vaccine purchase, aiming to enhance COVID-19 vaccine coverage. This loan will be used for purchasing 44.7M coronavirus vaccine doses which could vaccinate more than 20 million people. The vaccines will be secured through different sources: the COVAX program, UNICEF, or bilateral arrangements with vaccine manufacturers or distributors.
