Burkina Faso: a report sounds the alarm on difficult access to healthcare

The security and protection crisis has had an impact on the continuity of reproductive health and gender-based violence (RH/GBV) services, with a considerable drop in coverage indicators. Indeed, the healthcare system continues to come under attack, with 76 health centers closed and 245 operating at minimum capacity, depriving more than 822,000 people of healthcare.

According to several sources, the security crisis in northern Burkina Faso has caused the  closure of almost 15% of the country’s       healthcenters and the internal displacement of over 800,000 people.
