Recherche pour la santé et le développement (RESADE) organized a workshop to present the results of activities carried out as part of the Strategic Purchasing Resource Center in Africa (SPARC) project, this Friday, January 7, 2022, in Ouagadougou.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr Pierre Yaméogo, Chairman of the Functional Team II and Technical Secretary of the CSU.
The Functional Team II is a body responsible for monitoring the integrated management of financial resources and quality of care. The meeting was attended by members of the team, as well as technical and financial partners.
From the presentation given by the study’s principal investigator, we can see that the SPARC project aims to generate evidence and strengthen strategic healthcare purchasing in sub-Saharan Africa, for better use of healthcare resources. At national level, it was carried out in three stages. The first step was to map progress in strategic purchasing in the healthcare sector.
