The Access to Essential Medicines Network (RAME) organized a civil society meeting on universal health coverage (UHC) this Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Ouagadougou. This meeting is an opportunity to gather the views of the players involved on the implementation of universal health coverage in Burkina Faso.
These meetings are made possible thanks to RAME’s collaboration with the Civil Society Commitment Mechanism for Universal Health Coverage (CSEM) and Universal Health Coverage 2030 (UHC 2030).
According to Léa Ida Sawadogo/Yougbaré, Technical Assistance Program Manager at RAME, the Ouagadougou meeting should result in the formulation of concrete proposals for universal health coverage. These proposals will guide government action and other partners to move towards universal health coverage. This will feed into the global report on universal health coverage currently being drawn up by the civil society engagement mechanism.
