The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Pr Alkassoum Maïga, presided over a ceremony this Tuesday, May 18, 2021, to present checks to 43 research project holders. The funding, amounting to 1.6 billion CFA francs, will be used to find innovative solutions to Burkinabè concerns.
I’d like to tell beneficiaries that there are other priorities, such as food security and hospital care, but we’ve chosen to direct these funds towards scientific research players, so that they can find solutions to a number of concerns of the people of Burkina Faso. These include health-related issues such as Covid-19, hepatitis and many other diseases. Other sectors include building materials, the environment, sociology, agriculture and many others.
