CAMEROON-BUDGET PROGRAMME: Workshop to reflect on and build the capacity of players in the integration of strategic purchasing mechanisms

The overall objective is to enable Ministry of Public Health stakeholders to master the budget process in order to improve health financing.

Specifically, the training aims to:

To present the different steps for a good planning-programming-budgeting and monitoring-evaluation based on the priorities of the health sector in connection with the implementation of the objectives of the health financing strategy and the CSU ;
Linking sound financial management to strategic purchasing of healthcare services
Present and exchange best practices in program-based budgeting ;
Highlight budget execution rules and procedures in line with national program budget regulations and the achievement of health objectives.
Present and discuss the budgetary control rules and procedures in force and the GAPs at the Ministry of Health ;
Correct shortcomings in health budget monitoring ;
Take stock of and discuss program budget reform, and present the outlook for the Ministry of Health ;
Show the Ministry of Health how external funding can be factored into the budget to align partners.
