In December 2021, Chad launched the recruitment process for the staff of the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Santé, a crucial stage in the effective establishment of the Fund and the operationalization of the CSU schemes.
The planned recruitment concerns nine (09) positions, including the General Manager and Deputy General Manager. The recruitment notices for the DG and DGA positions were launched on 17.12.2021. The recruitment process is carried out by a nine (07) member committee chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Health. P4H Partners are represented on this committee by the P4H Focal Point and the WHO CSU Technical Advisor.
The recruitment process for key CNAS staff is due to be completed by the end of February 2022.
As a reminder, law n°035/PR/2019 adopted in August 2019 instituted three (03) CSU regimes in Chad. The body responsible for managing these schemes was created by Law n°026/PR/2020 establishing the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Santé. The Decree on the organization and operation of CNAS was signed in October 2021.
