The meeting focused on validating the deliverables produced by the firm responsible for evaluating the CMU program. Two deliverables were on the agenda :
- analysis of the financial viability of health mutuals ;
- definition of the institutional and legal framework for the CMU program.
Compared with the first deliverable, the technical committee felt that the analyses were insufficient and that certain aspects needed to be examined in greater depth. He invited the firm to review the work and resubmit it to him.
With regard to the second deliverable, the committee concluded that the proposals lacked coherence, and called for them to be more closely linked to the WAEMU context, in particular to the regulation on social mutuality.
