CMU: the 80% mark passed in Senegal’s Kaolack region

During his regional tour, the Director General of the Universal Health Coverage Agency expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved in Kaolack, during the year 2020. “We have paid up to one billion 67 million CFA francs, of which 345 million correspond to targeted subsidies, 87 million to general subsidies and 600 million to gratuities”, said Dr. Mamadou Bocar Daff. 

The Kaolack region (central France) has achieved a universal health coverage (CMU) rate of 36.66%. In front of journalists gathered for the occasion, the ACMU CEO reassures them that this coverage rate generates another penetration rate of nearly 85%”. 

The 1st head of the agency pledged to “continue in this direction for better collaboration to ensure that people have access to quality care”.
