The Caisse nationale de prévoyance sociale (CNPS) is now providing social cover for artists from the Bureau ivoirien des droits d’auteurs (BURIDA) through its “Régime social des travailleurs indépendants” (RSTI) presented, Wednesday June 16, 2021, in Abidjan.
As part of the expansion of social protection to self-employed workers, the State of Côte d’Ivoire by ordinance n°2019-636 of July 17, 2019 created the social welfare scheme for self-employed workers managed by CNPS. The introduction of this innovative, flexible scheme is designed to encourage the inclusion of self-employed workers in the social security system, providing them with security against the risk of loss of financial income.
