From June 1 to August 31, cotton growers and members of their families throughout the Côte d’Ivoire cotton-growing basin are being registered. The operation is being carried out using a methodology designed to identify the players in this sector in order to qualify for Universal Health Coverage (CMU) benefits.
Compulsory basic insurance for all those residing in Côte d’Ivoire and created by Law No. 2014-131 of March 14, 2014, the CMU allows, with a monthly contribution of 1 000 CFA francs, to benefit from a general basic plan that covers 70% of hospital costs, including consultations, surgery and drug purchases.
