Côte d’Ivoire-Universal health coverage: benefits soon to be extended to private health centers

People insured under the Universal Health Coverage (CMU) scheme will soon be able to receive treatment in private health establishments. The information was given by the Director of Benefits of the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie (CNAM), Dr Christian Brou, on  Tuesday, September 13, 2022, during an information and exchange workshop with media professionals on the implementation of the CMU, at CNAM headquarters in Abidjan-Plateau.

Services will soon move into the private sector, with the implementation of a computerized tool that will enable the cost of the service provided in the private establishment to be shared between the CMU, the complementary insurance and the insured.
