Three loan agreements were submitted to the National Assembly for ratification, representing a total of 39,901,000,000 FCFA.
This funding will help mitigate the socio-economic effects of the pandemic in Burkina Faso, strengthen the capacity for prevention, detection and management of Covid-19 cases, and enhance the skills of healthcare personnel.
The Minister of Health, Pr Charlemagne Ouédraogo, points out that these funds will particularly benefit infected people, at-risk populations, in particular the elderly and people suffering from chronic illnesses, vulnerable people affected by the epidemic, and healthcare, epidemiological surveillance and diagnostic staff.
