CSU in Senegal: a plea for gender and equality

This May 31, 2021 saw the opening of a thematic webinar dialogue of African parliamentarians on Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and gender equality. Senegal’s parliamentary network on population and development stressed the need for initiatives to strengthen advocacy in order to accelerate progress and make health for all a reality.

Considering that MPs have a key role to play in 2021, the parliamentary network reaffirmed its commitment to advocate for greater consideration of universal health coverage and primary health care in particular, which, according to the organization, in addition to being a cornerstone of the health system, are an essential first step in achieving health for all.
