State health insurance began in Syrdarya and is expanding across Uzbekistan. Medical workers from Samarkand visited Gulistan to learn from Syrdarya’s experience and exchange skills. The State Health Insurance Fund reports the cooperation meeting was highly beneficial for both regions’ healthcare workers.
The state medical insurance system, first introduced and approved in the Syrdarya region, is gradually expanding to other regions of Uzbekistan. Syrdarya’s experience serves as a key learning model for medical professionals across the country.
Recently, healthcare workers from Samarkand visited the Gulistan City Medical Association to study Syrdarya’s implementation of state medical insurance and exchange expertise with their colleagues.
“As part of their visit, they toured the Gulistan City Medical Association, the Multidisciplinary Central Polyclinic, the family polyclinic, and family medicine points under our association,”
said Murod Kopaysinov, Chief Physician of the city medical association:
“We provided insights into the mechanisms of state medical insurance in Syrdarya, highlighting its benefits not only for the population but also for healthcare professionals. We also shared details on doctors’ offices and preventive care schools established in line with WHO recommendations. I believe this information will be valuable for implementing the system in Samarkand.”
The cooperation meeting between healthcare workers from Syrdarya and Samarkand was highly productive, fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening collaboration for the successful rollout of state medical insurance across Uzbekistan.
