Going to a doctor’s appointment, buying medicines or taking out health insurance will be more expensive and will complicate family budgets.
In 2024, medical costs in Ecuador have experienced an increase that implies a greater impact on family budgets. The company WTW (Willis, Towers, Watson) periodically surveys medical expenses in 66 countries around the world. In the 2025 report, Ecuador is among the six countries with the highest rising medical expenses in the Latin American region.
