GIZ has been carrying out a mission to Tajikistan to explore options for a long-term advisor under the umbrella of the P4H Network.
Mission TOR:
The overall objective of the mission is:
- to assess further P4H support
- to advise the BMZ on the possible long-term P4H coordinator position
Specific objectives:
- take part in the JAR and get a better understanding of the support requirements;
- explore opportunities for collaboration and reach agreement on how development partners work together for more coherence under the umbrella of P4H;
- examine possible entry points for P4H support, for example the assignment of a ong-term P4H coordinator and/or other needed support;
- discuss with all development partners active in the health sector as well as with all relevant national stakeholders possible pre-conditions to further the political process in health sector reform and health financing, with special focus on the possible role, use and acceptance of a long-term P4H coordinator;
- If acceptable, clarify with all parties involved possible terms of references of a long-term P4H coordinator including where to place such a post institutionally, and if there is any interest to co-finance the post. Careful consideration will be made to further a multi-stakeholder inter-sectoral approach.
Below the presentation of the debriefing on 10 Dec 2014, a full report is to follow.
