The study findings suggest that social service, competition and increased clientele were the common facilitating factors for enrolment in government health schemes. Low & delayed reimbursement, bribe to clear payment, limited services covered, and administrative issues were the common barriers to non-enrolment. Other factors such as the number of beds in the hospital, availability of cashless private health insurance facilities and satisfaction with the current model of health insurance were found statistically significant.
