The national vaccination deployment plan , drawn up jointly by the Ministry of Public Health and Madagascar’s National Academy of Medicine, sets out a three-year plan for vaccination against Covid-19 in Madagascar. The first phase begins this Friday, with the first Covax vaccines arriving on the Big Island.
The total cost of the plan is estimated at around $264 million, and will be financed by a mix of sources. According to the text ” the government plans to use its own resources “, but also to mobilize funds from donors. Voluntary contributions from the private sector will also be solicited. The ratio is not yet specified either.
