Experts in publichealth , data, health scientists, civil society representatives and decision-makers are calling for a new public health order in Africa, capable of effectively guarding against future health crises.
This appeal was launched during the first international conference on public health in Africa (CPHIA 2021) organized online from December 14 to 16, 2021 by the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ACDCP). diseases (CDC Africa) and the African Union (AU), with the participation of other partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO).
These health specialists call on African states to strengthen public health institutions for person-centred care, increase the number of public health personnel, establish respectful, action-oriented partnerships and engage with the private sector.
