The MOH is energetically taking forward the UHC agenda in Kenya – there is some new impetus driven by the new Cabinet Secretary and his team. So far, a Technical Working Group has been constituted to define a comprehensive UHC strategy for the Country. The TWG has been meeting, and has agreed to have an initial consultancy that
1. Elaborates a comprehensive Situation Analysis description of the different elements of the Universal Coverage Conceptual Framework, and
2. Propose a set of options the Country can apply across the different elements of the Universal Coverage Conceptual Framework
These outputs – required before end of August, would then provide inputs for the UHC TWG to meet and deliberate on the UHC strategy for the Country. For impartiality, and involvement of different stakeholders, the MOH proposed to use the P4H framework to provide the TA.
