The Minister of Health, Dr. Guy Patrick Obiang Ndong and the Minister of Social Affairs, Madame Prisca Koho Nlend, presided over the On September 17, an important meeting was held in the presence of the General Managers of health establishments and services, university hospital centers (CHU), the Caisse nationale d’assurance maladie et de garantie sociale (CNAMGS) and the Office pharmaceutique national (OPN).
To optimize medical care for patients, and in order to make concrete, pragmatic proposals to the government on strengthening the technical platforms of health facilities, the Minister of Health has announced the creation of a joint commission of health facilities and CNAMGS, to be chaired by himself, with technical support from the World Health Organization (WHO).
With regard to the CHUL’s new neurovascular intensive care unit, an initiative entirely financed by the First Lady, Madame Sylvia Bongo Ondimba via her eponymous Foundation, the Minister of Health invited the CHUL’s General Management and that of the CNAMGS to make a proposal for the quotation for the care of insured patients.
