According to the executive director of the Association of Health Insurance Management Companies (Gestarsalud), the resources allocated to health care are controlled and their destination is transparent.
The initiative called payments with transparency aims to obtain information on the resources that reach the Health Promoting Entities (EPS) that are affiliated to Gestarsalud in Colombia. The information that can be obtained with the tool are the amounts paid by the EPSs, the type of entity, the means of payment and the geographic destination of the resources, according to the executive director.
He added that the tool is easy to navigate and understand, allowing any citizen to track resources.
